WELCOME

Welcome to the Wisconsin Epic User's Group (WIEUG) website!  WIEUG enables healthcare organizations to collaborate with their peers to share best practices, lessons learned and success stories.  Founded in 2007, WIEUG organizations have more than 100 years in collective Epic experience!  WIEUG offers on-line resources, face-to-face events and webinars to support the strategic development of application and end-user staff. Connect and share!

PURPOSE

The purpose of WIEUG is:

  • To promote clinical and business education and exchange of Epic knowledge and experience.
  • To conduct a variety of programs, including online, phone and face-to-face, in order to develop and share valuable information among members.
  • To encourage and strengthen the participation of all qualified members.
  • To collectively advocate on behalf of the membership on issues of common interest at the local, state or Federal level or with Epic Systems for product improvements or changes.

  • WI DHS Partner Announcement! Join the eCR Healthcare Data Challenge

    eCR Public Health Partners,

    We are excited to share information about the electronic case reporting (eCR) Healthcare Data Challenge, an initiative aimed at improving public health action by enabling healthcare organizations (HCOs) to accelerate the use of occupational data and other social determinants of health captured in healthcare settings through eCR. HCOs interested in participating in the Challenge are likely to reach out to public health agencies (PHAs) for collaboration or assistance. Participants will be evaluated, in part, on their communication and collaboration with jurisdictional PHA points of contact for eCR as well as occupational health programs.  

    Participants will also need to implement the collection of key, coded work information and the HL7® Consolidated Document Architecture (CDA) Electronic Initial Case Report (eICR) R3.1 standard as well as meet other Challenge requirements to be eligible for awards. Awardees can receive up to $150,000! 

    Key Dates: 

    • September 09, 2024: Challenge kickoff call to outline expectations and processes. 
    • February 28, 2025: Complete the non-binding Challenge Participation Interest Form
    • May 1, 2025: Deadline for organization/teams to submit Challenge materials. 
    • May 30, 2025: Challenge awards announced.
